MeetSpot Rome
Scholars Lounge Irish Pub
Via del Plebiscito, 101b, 00186 Rome RM, Italy
What to expect
A large, lively Irish pub near Piazza Venezia with two interconnecting bars, big screens for international sports, live music acts and pub quizzes; expect a mixed crowd of tourists, expats and locals rather than an intimate setting.
How to approach
Conversation starts easily around shared sports viewing, pub quiz nights, karaoke and the long whiskey/beer list — the communal bar layout and English-speaking Irish staff make it easy for newcomers and expats to strike up chats.
